Motorola to launch its Moto Z and Moto Z Force in India on October 4


Motorola owned by Lenovo has scheduled an event on October 4, for which it has released teasers and send out media invites. It is expected that the company will launch Moto Z Force and Moto Z smartphones at the event, in India.

The media invite issued by Motorola is an image having popular Motorola phones with a letter Z. Also, it reads,

“The innovation that’s worth the wait will be here on October 4 2016. SAVE THE DATE.”

It hints that Moto Z will be the device which is going to launch on October 4.

Recently Moto in a press release gave a hint on approaching of Moto Z in India by stating that, it’s about to bring a major transformation in Indian marketplace with its eight new devices and in this festive season, the models are going to hit the Indian shores.

Sudhin Mathur from Lenovo India spoke out at a public event about the launch of 8 new devices by Lenovo in coming month, which indirectly expressed about the arrival of the highest-selling handset of Lenovo – Moto Z. The launch of the Moto Z could be big news for India given the dearth of proper flagship devices in the market right now.

Lenovo has also poked fun at Apple for introducing the design in its iPhone 7 akin to the existing Moto Z smartphone. It has published a new ad campaign in which targets two recently launched smartphones – Galaxy Note 7 and the iPhone 7. In the ad campaign, Lenovo tries to motivate consumers for buying a Moto Z instead of aforesaid and expensive flagships of Apple and Samsung.

The lineup of specs and features in Moto Z is quite notable and impressive. The model 5.5-inch screen mated on 1440p display resolution and is powered by the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 SoC. In memory part, the mobile sports 4GB RAM coupled with 32GB or 64GB of internal storage. Apart from this, this latest smartphone also features a high-definition 13MP rear and 5MP selfie camera. Backed by a 2600mAh battery, Moto Z runs on Android v6.0.1 out of the box.

Among other features, the phone is empowered with USB-C port which is the replacement of signature 3.5mm headphone jack of Motorola. However, the price details and particular availability information are still in the official pipeline.
