Reliance may come with a Jio 4G Laptop, a MacBook Clone


After the launch of Jio 4G service, Reliance which has also launched the LYF affordable 4G VoLTE smartphones that works with their Jio 4G SIM card. Later, all has also seen Jio branded Mi-Fi devices namely JioFi and the 4G Wi-Fi routers called JioLink. If again we believe the coming rumors , reliance will also launch a Jio branded feature phone with VoLTE support. We have also seen leaks about the upcoming Jio Car Connect and the Jio DTH service. Now, we got a new leak about the upcoming Jio product that brings much more diversification to the Jio’s ecosystem which is a Jio 4G Laptop.

If we believe on current leak, we might see a Jio branded 4G laptop soon. If in case, you are still confused about the connection between Jio and a laptop, then we clarify you that this new laptop will come with a dedicated 4G SIM card slot for better connectivity.

As we have seen with the LYF smartphones which are just the Chinese smartphones rebranded, now this Jio 4G laptop is actually being manufactured by Foxconn for Infocus. In last December, Xiaomi had also launched their upgraded Mi Notebook Air laptop with 4G LTE support.

This will be a 13.3-inch Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) display with 16:9 aspect ratio. Above the display there will be a HD camera for making video calls. It will come with a Chocolate key style slim keyboard without a dedicated number pad. The laptop will come with magnesium alloy body without cooling fan measuring about just 12.2 mm thickness and will weighs around 1.2 kg only. It will use Intel Pentium quad-core processor and packs with 4GB of RAM. On the storage front, there will be a 64GB of eMMC storage and 128GB of SSD storage.

Apart from 4G LTE, other connectivity options will include Bluetooth 4.0, 2 USB 3.0 ports, Micro HDMI port, and a Micro SD card slot. While we don’t expect the cost to be cheap, but the company might subsidize it to make a grand entry into the laptop segment like smartphone one.
